BIOGRAPHY
Jeni Dodd combines the sensitivity of an artist with the heart of an
explorer. As a performer, she is the embodiment of the
singer/songwriter, using both her experiences and her sensibilities
to interpret a song. As a writer, she is a poetess in word and
meter. Born in the Appalachian Mountains, she found herself in the
Alaskan bush as a teenager. A job in forestry lured her to Idaho's
Rocky Mountains and after wandering, she currently calls Montana
home. Her adventurous spirit led her through a variety of jobs and
places that lend depth to her musical interpretation. She performs
any number of genres with equal ease. When she interprets a song,
she makes it her own.

ARTIST STATEMENT
 I
can't remember a time in my life that I didn't sing. Even as a
child, I think was singing notes before I was saying words. Yet
after all of this time, I can't describe the process. I can tell you
the physical acts needed to produce tone, but I can't elaborate on
creative processes it takes to produce music. I don't consciously
think about what I am singing. It is almost as if I am not there, it
is just the words, meanings and emotions existing apart from me, yet
somehow so very much a part of me. Songwriting is more cerebral but
still elusive; ideas appear out of nowhere and I feel compelled to
get them down. I hope my music will be something you identify with,
will move you emotionally and remind you of your humanity
